Biemenhorst

Luca Puhe was the top scorer for SV Biemenhorst in the 2025/26 season in the Oberliga Niederrhein . He did not stay to celebrate, moving to 1. FC Bocholt in 2026. The club had nothing to do all evening in terms of keeping him. Founded in 1926 , a date that required correction in 1992 after archival work, Biemenhorst had never played in the league at that level before that day.

The rise has been steady rather than sudden. They entered the Kreisliga A in 2013 , climbed to the Bezirksliga in 2018 , and reached the Landesliga Niederrhein in 2023 . The jump to the Oberliga followed in 2024 . Their first match in the new tier was against 1. FC Monheim on August 18, 2024. They played at the Intersport-Pieron-Arena , a ground with a capacity reported variously as 1,500, 1,700, or 2,500. The place is at Birkenallee 58.

There is a rivalry with SV Blau-Weiß Dingden. Young players like Joshua Müller and former graduate Pascal Testroet, who went to FC Schalke 04 youth and then Dynamo Dresden, show the club’s reach. Testroet is a name that sticks, as is Maurice Exslager at MSV Duisburg and 1. FC Köln.

What they do not have is a stable home in the higher divisions. They have no nickname, no official logo online, and the capacity of their stadium remains a matter of debate.
