Břeclav

Jaroslav Navrátil came up through the youth ranks in Břeclav before a loan took him to Heracles Almelo in 2012, and from there to Go Ahead Eagles and Kisvárda FC. Radek Rabušic went the other way: a goalkeeper who had played top-flight football for Slovan Liberec, and a native of the town, he came home to serve as sporting director in the club's early years.

Those early years began in 2005, when three local sides — TJ Slovan Břeclav, TJ Lokomotiva Břeclav and SK Tatran Poštorná — merged into a single club. Slovan itself carried the town's football history back to February 1920, when a founding assembly met and, three weeks later, the first matches were played under the name SK Břeclava; the club changed its name several times over the following decades before settling on TJ Slovan Břeclav in 1956. That line ended with the 2005 merger, which is when MSK Břeclav — Em-es-ká to those who follow it — took shape, inheriting its ground from Tatran Poštorná.

The club stayed at that level until relegation to the fourth division in 2016. Off the pitch, the table tennis section has done rather better for itself, with the women's team collecting national championship and cup titles.

MSK Břeclav now sits in Divize E, the fourth tier, after last year's reorganisation of the league structure moved them there from Divize D.
