Eskilstuna United

Eskilstuna United DFF won Elitettan in 2025, capping a three-year route back to Damallsvenskan. The club had been pushed down to the second tier in December 2022, when it was refused a Damallsvenskan licence over financial requirements rather than losing its place through results.

Eskilstuna United DFF itself dates to 29 September 2002, when the women's sections of Slagsta IK and Tunafors SK merged into a single club in Eskilstuna. It worked up through Norrettan and Söderettan, won Norrettan in 2012, then took the Elitettan title in 2013 to reach Damallsvenskan for the first time.

The high point came two seasons later. 2015 brought second place in Damallsvenskan, the club's best league finish, and with it a place in the UEFA Women's Champions League. Third place followed in 2016 and 2017. In 2021 the club reached the Svenska Cupen final and lost 0-3 to BK Häcken, the name that comes up most often as its sharpest rival; Sundsvalls DFF was a frequent opponent through those early Elitettan and Damallsvenskan years.

Matches are played at Tunavallen, the club turning out in blue and white in front of a capacity of 7,800, backed by the supporter group Tuna12. Eskilstuna United are back in Damallsvenskan for 2026.
