Benjamin Sesko leaves Slovenia squad with shin injury recurrence

The title that moved Grimsby Borough up a level came in 2021-22, when they won the Northern Counties East League Premier Division and with it a place in the Northern Premier League Division One East. It was the second promotion of a short climb: they had gone up as champions of the division below in 2018-19, having let the earlier chance slip in the 2016-17 play-off final, beaten 4-2 by Penistone Church.

The structure around all this caught up late. In May 2024 the club became a limited company and appointed its first board of directors.
He came to Bradley in 2015, after the professional game was behind him, and turned out six times as an attacking player.
