The fall that Lock inherited came in 2015. Holyport's manager left and no replacement could be found. The club had not finished in the relegation places, yet it chose to drop from the Hellenic League Premier Division back to Division One East.

The years before that treble were the club's best stretch. Holyport won the East Berkshire League Premier Division in 1998–99, 1999–00 and 2001–02, and that success took them up to the Hellenic League. It dates from 1897 and a meeting at The George Inn in the village. It stopped during the Second World War and was reformed in 1956. Home is Summerleaze Village, a small ground in Maidenhead where 115 of the 190 places are under cover.

In 2022–23 they reached the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup and the Third Round of the FA Vase in the same season.
