Houtvenne

Houtvenne go into the 2025–26 season in the Eerste Nationale, the third tier of Belgian football, after winning Tweede Afdeling VV B in 2024–25. Its route there ran through a relegation and a playoff.

The first step out of the provincial leagues came in 2015–16. Houtvenne won the 1st Provincial Antwerp that year and took the Beker van Antwerpen in the same season. That earned them a place in the Third Amateur Division, where they stayed until 2020.

In 2020–21 they finished fourth in the Third Amateur Division, which would not normally mean promotion. They moved up to the Tweede Afdeling anyway, because ASV Geel ran into licensing problems and a place opened. They lasted one season at that level and went back down in 2021–22. A year later they won the promotion playoffs, beating Beringen, and returned to the Tweede Afdeling on their own results. From there it took two more seasons to win the group.

The club, known as De Rood-groenen for its green and red colours, plays at the A Terrein, which holds 1,500. Houtvenne is a village in the municipality of Hulshout, in Antwerp Province. A football club was formed there in 1946, and it received matriculation number 4481 from the Royal Belgian Football Association.
