Lokeren-Temse

The Daknamstadion holds 12,136. It was built for K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen, the club that went bankrupt in April 2020 after decades on the ground; what moved in afterwards was a club from Temse, twelve kilometres away, wearing the old shirt but carrying a different registration number.

K.S.V. Temse itself dated to 22 July 1945, formed by the merger of FC Temsica, founded in 1908, and Temsche SK, founded in 1924. That lineage, matricule 4297, is the one that legally survives. When Lokeren's own club folded, Temse relocated into the vacated Daknamstadion, took the name K.S.C. Lokeren-Temse, and inherited a ground built for a bigger, older institution than the one now playing in it. In 2025 the name was shortened again, to KSC Lokeren.

Belgian Division 2 was won in 2022/23, and a second-place finish in National Division 1 the following season brought a professional licence and promotion to the Challenger Pro League — two divisions above where the merged club had started.

Radja Nainggolan signed in 2025, a name that carries more weight than the club's five years of existence would otherwise suggest, and it is his arrival, more than the honours list so far, that people in Lokeren talk about.
