Kilmarnock II

A 7-0 win over Dunfermline Athletic's reserves in the final took the SPFL Reserve Cup to Kilmarnock in 2023, a result that meant Dunfermline never found a way back into it. It remains the only trophy so far credited to Kilmarnock's second string.

No separate founding date exists for this side: it did not appear as a fixture in its own right until the 2022-23 season, when the Scottish Challenge Cup — known that year also as the SPFL Trust Trophy — began admitting reserve teams from Premiership clubs. Kilmarnock took its place as one of eleven such sides entering the competition. The squad draws on players pushing for a place in the first team as well as younger prospects still working their way toward it.

Colours and nickname travelled straight over from the senior side: blue and white, striped shirts, blue shorts and socks, and the name Killie, unchanged.

Home matches are played at Rugby Park in Kilmarnock, the ground the first team also calls home, with a capacity of 15,003.
