Kiryat Yam SC

Kiryat Yam SC shares a home city with Hapoel Kiryat Yam, founded back in 1964 and still going in the lower leagues, but the two operate as entirely separate concerns — different associations, different histories. An earlier Kiryat Yam SC had folded around 2011 after three seasons; the present one was set up in 2021 as an independent non-profit, Kiryat Yam Net, with no tie to the Hapoel movement. What followed was a rise with few parallels in Israeli football: promotion from Liga Gimel in 2021–22 with a perfect 22 wins from 22 games, the first 100% season the country's game had recorded, then the Liga Bet title in 2022–23 with 28 wins from 30, and the Liga Alef North Division in 2024–25.

Matches are played at Acre Municipal Stadium, a 5,000-seat ground in the neighbouring city of Acre rather than in Kiryat Yam itself — an arrangement that puts the club's rapid rise on a stage a division above where the team itself is based.
