Kravaře needed a club of its own after the First World War reshaped Czechoslovak football, and in 1923 the town formed SK Kravař, the side that became MFK Kravaře. The club found its level in the 1990s, taking the Slezský župní přebor in 1997–98 and, the following season, reaching the second round of the Czech Cup — still its best showing in the competition.
What followed was a long settling-in at the fourth tier. MFK Kravaře spent fifteen years in Divize E, from 1998 to 2013, finishing runners-up twice, in 2004–05 and 2007–08, without ever pushing on to a title.
