The pitch at Kuusalu Keskkooli staadion sits behind the local secondary school.
Kalev itself was registered as a non-profit association in October 2010, though people in the parish were already talking about the club and its name a year earlier. Sander Piibemann set it up and has run it ever since, both as its leader and as a coach on the touchline.
On the pitch, the men's team plays in the II liiga, Estonia's third tier, and also takes its turn in the Estonian Cup each season. That is a step up from 2020, when the side was competing in the fourth-tier IV liiga and finished fifth in the Ida zone before taking second place in the B-level continuation group.
