Lonestar

Founded in 2004, Lonestar SC emerged from the merger of several prominent local youth sides—CC United Eagles, Longhorns, Warriors, and Austin Flyers—into a single nonprofit organization.

That consolidation is what gives the club its weight. The men’s team finally brought that philosophy to the professional level this past season, but the real story is in the youth ranks. In November 2024, the USL-20 boys team clinched the Male U20 Lonestar Division of the USL Academy League. Andrews Episcopal School.

The name itself references the Texas ‘Lone Star’, a symbol that anchors the team firmly to its state. The club also hosts the Austin Labor Day Cup, further cementing its role as a central hub for local football.

There is often confusion about the name, with outsiders mixing up Lonestar SC Austin with Philadelphia Lone Star FC or the San Antonio counterpart.
