Lupo-Martini

Wilfried Kemmer had scored goals for VfL Wolfsburg before he took over at Lupo-Martini and coached them to promotion in 1996.

Those workers formed Sportclub Lupo in 1962. A second Italian side, US Martini, appeared in 1970, and the two merged in 1981. The merged club is regarded as the first migrant workers' club in Germany to enter competitive football. Its full name, Unione Sportiva Italiana Lupo Martini e. V., still says who founded it, and the red and blue kit carries the colours of the Italian flag.

The best stretch came in the 2010s. Lupo-Martini won the Landesliga Braunschweig in 2011–12, then the Niedersachsenliga in 2015–16, which took them up to the Regionalliga Nord, the fourth tier. They went straight back down after 2016–17. They won the Niedersachsenliga again in 2017–18 and returned to the Regionalliga, but went down once more after 2018–19.

Its main local fixture is against SSV Vorsfelde, a side from another part of the city. The two meet in what is called the "Oberliga-Derby", or just "the Derby". VfL Wolfsburg II are another local rival.

Home is the Lupo-Martini-Stadion in Wolfsburg's Kreuzheide district, which takes about 2,000 people. It is also known as the Lupo-Stadio.
