It joined with the football departments of SV Hoiersdorf and TSV Twieflingen, and the new club, registered in February 2011, began playing that July.
The old club also left names behind. Sven Boy, another Schöningen product, became a professional defender at Braunschweig and VfL Bochum.
The merged side did not stay low for long. The Landesliga Braunschweig followed in 2022, which took the club into the Oberliga Niedersachsen. It had to come through a promotion round against Altona 93, Heider SV and SV Hemelingen, and it did, reaching the Regionalliga Nord.
The Elm-Stadion , with room for 5,000, now hosts that level.
From Kreisliga to Regionalliga took 12 years , from 2013 to 2025.
