Herning sits in the middle of Jutland. Women's football in the district was played under a different banner — Vildbjerg SF, which held the licence and the players. On 1 July 2024 that licence moved: Vildbjerg and the men's club at Midtjylland folded their women's football together, and the squad that had been Vildbjerg's turned up in the 1. division wearing black.

They did not stay there long.

The players came across more or less intact from Vildbjerg. Among them Marína Štefániková and Lykke Koch Jensen.

There is no separate crest for the women's team. The badge is the club's, unchanged.
