Olimpia Zambrów

Twice in three seasons Olimpia Zambrów won the third tier, and twice they turned down what came next. The group title in 2010–11 earned promotion to the II liga, the second tier, and the club resigned from it for lack of money and sponsors. They won the group again in 2012–13 and went up again. The second tier is the highest level the club has reached, and it dates from 2013–14.

Those years coincided with the presidency of Cezary Kulesza, who held the post from 2010 to 2021. He had played for Olimpia in 1982–1984. In 2021 he became president of the Polish Football Association (PZPN), so the man who ran a club of 1,036 seats now runs the national federation. The covered stand that gives the ground that capacity went up between 2011 and 2014, over the same stretch.

The club began in 1953 as Włókniarz, "The Textile Worker", tied to the town's cotton mills. It merged with a local side called Start in 1957. In 1958 it took the name Olimpia, chosen along with the emblem by a physical education teacher, Wiesław Słaby. The white-and-blue colours and the nickname "The White-and-Blues" go back to that period, and the second nickname, "Olimpijczycy" (The Olympians), comes from the club's name.

The 1980s and early 1990s belonged to the regional cup, the OZPN Łomża Cup, which Olimpia won six times between 1979 and 1992. They also took the IV Liga Podlasie title in 1982, 1990 and 1996, and each of the first two came within a season or two of a spell in the third tier.

The 2023–24 season ended with the club 15th in III liga Group I and relegated. They took the IV Liga Podlasie title in 2025–26 and went back up to the third tier. The Podlasie rivalries, with Wigry Suwałki and ŁKS Łomża in what is called the "Derby Podlasia", have followed the club through every division.

Zbigniew Stańczyk scored 266 goals for Olimpia, more than anyone else in the club's history.
