Troszyn

Under him Troszyn won the IV Liga Mazowiecka in 2024/25 and went up to the third tier, Group I of the III Liga, for the first time. A village club in Ostrołęka County had reached a level it had never played at.

The climb was quick and had a clear starting point. In the mid-2000s the side still played under a sponsor's name, Kurp Dach Plastmo Troszyn, a name it kept until July 2006. It was working its way up from the local B-class leagues at the time. Today it is KS CK Troszyn, the sports club attached to the village's cultural centre, and its supporters are known as Troszynianie.

The district cup for Ciechanów and Ostrołęka came first. Troszyn won it in 2021/22, beating Żbik Nasielsk 4:1 in the final, and won it again the following year. Those were the trophies of a club learning to win.

The regional cup has proved harder. In 2024/25 Troszyn reached the Masovian Cup final, where Legia II Warszawa beat them 1:3. They reached the final again in 2025/26 and lost 2:3 to Wisła II Płock, a narrower margin, and again the reserve side of a much larger club took the trophy.

Closer to home, the match that draws the most attention is the "Derby powiatu" against Rzekunianka Rzekuń. Local media use that name for it, and the two clubs are neighbours in the same county. Narew 1962 Ostrołęka and Ostrovia Ostrów Mazowiecka are also rivals.
