Plymouth Parkway

Plymouth Parkway keep their fiercest fixture across the county line, against AFC St Austell, and the two sides have played it up as a Devon/Cornwall derby despite St Austell sitting in Cornwall. The lopsided end of it came in the 2018–19 FA Vase, when St Austell put six past Parkway in the First Round Proper without reply bar one.

The club began life as Ex-Air Flyers, set up by Stuart Cadmore and named for sponsor Exeter Airport, whose logo gave Parkway their yellow and royal blue. A move into the Devon League in 1993 brought a rename to EAF Plymouth, and by the following season, with backing from the Parkway Sports Club, the name settled as Plymouth Parkway. A lease dispute during the 2000–01 season forced every home fixture to be played away, with Devonport's Brickfields athletics track serving as a stand-in before Bolitho Park became home in August 2003.

Promotion has come in bursts rather than a steady climb. Founding members of the South West Peninsula League in 2007–08, Parkway won its Premier Division twice, in 2013–14 and 2017–18, the second title lifting them into the Western League. The Southern League Division One South followed in 2021–22, pushing them up to the Premier Division South, where they have since had to fight rather than settle.

Manager Chris McPhee, in charge since 2024, arrived with time spent at Brighton & Hove Albion, Torquay United and Swindon Town behind him.
