Lidzbark Warmiński is a town in the Warmia and Mazury region, and its football is measured against Olsztyn. Matches with Stomil Olsztyn are billed as the Derby of Warmia and Mazury. Stomil is also where Jakub Kanclerz, a Polonia youth graduate, went on to play in the I Liga. Adam Zejer took the same road out of Lidzbark and reached Ekstraklasa clubs, Lech Poznań among them.
The club, in white and black, dates from 1946. Polonia won the Olsztyn voivodeship cup in 1999/2000 and took the IV Liga the season after, which put them in the III Liga for 2001/02.
Polonia did not retreat this time: they won the IV Liga again in 2025/26 and are back in the III Liga for 2026/27.
The Stadion Miejski im. Henryka Wobalisa was therefore finished long before the club had a place in the third tier to justify it.
