Prat

Two small clubs in El Prat de Llobregat, Club Deportivo Prat (1934) and Fútbol Club Internacional (1935), merged in May 1939 under Rafael Mas as Unión Deportiva Prat. The merged side won the amateur championship of Catalonia in its first season, 1939–40, but ran short of members and stopped playing in 1943.

Two years later, on 7 February 1945, Josep Aleu Torres refounded football in the town as Agrupación Deportiva Prat and became its first president. The name changed once more in 2002, when the club became Associació Esportiva Prat to mark its standing as a sports association. Supporters call the team Potablava, a Catalan play on "drinkable blue" that follows the blue of the shorts and socks worn with white shirts.

The club's best stretch in the modern era came under Manolo Márquez, who took charge in 2003 and stayed until 2006. Prat won the Primera Catalana in 2004–05, and Márquez returned for a second spell later. The Tercera División, Group 5, followed in 2011–12 and again in 2015–16.

Home is the Sagnier municipal sports complex, with room for 1,000: 150 under cover, 250 seated and 600 standing. The nearest rival is CF Gavà.
