Owners voted for the relocation on 22 June 2023, citing a lack of backing from local authorities in Valledupar, and Dimayor signed off on the switch on 6 July. Four days later, on 10 July 2023, the club was presented in Soacha under a new name, Real Soacha.

The team took up residence at the Estadio Municipal Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento, an 8,000-seat ground in the city, and wore light green and white. Its first season under the Soacha name, played in the Categoría Primera B in 2023, brought 14 points from 16 matches and 15th place in the table.

Julián Sánchez won the mayoral election and, once in office in January 2024, ended the financial support the club had been relying on. Within weeks the team moved again, this time to Bogotá, taking the name Real Cundinamarca.

It reached the semi-finals in its first season under the new identity in 2024, then went further still in 2025, finishing runner-up in the Torneo Finalización after losing to Cúcuta Deportivo on penalties.
