Rodange 91

For decades the place supported two separate football clubs, and it was only in 1991 that FC Chiers Rodange and FC Racing Rodange gave that arrangement up, merging into a single side under one badge, red and black.

The pooled history runs deeper than the merger date suggests. Under the Chiers name, Rodange had already been champions of Luxembourg, taking the National Division title in 1959–60 and again in 1974–75, while Racing reached a Cup final in 1949 and lost it to Stade Dudelange. FC Rodange 91 inherited that record rather than starting one, and its own honours have come at second-tier level: the Division of Honour in 1994–95 and 2018–19, each time worth a promotion back to the top flight.

The Cup has stayed just out of reach. The closest the merged club has come is a semi-final in 2025–26, a result that still leaves the final appearance as something only the old Racing side can claim.

Sylvain Atieda has led the line since joining in 2024, while further back in the club's history Seid Korac came through the academy and earned a move to 1. FC Nuremberg in 2019.

Matches with FC Mondercange and Union Titus Pétange carry the weight of local derbies, the south of the country being compact enough that away trips barely qualify as travel. Home games belong to the Stade Joseph Philippart, 3,400 capacity, though renovation work has sent the club across to the Stade Municipal in nearby Pétange since 2022.
