Roi Et

Roi Et PB United are back in Thai League 3, having won the Thailand Semi-Pro League national championship in 2024 after taking the North/Eastern Region title that same year.

After the 2017 season the club was excluded from Thai League 4 because it had failed to obtain a licence from the Football Association of Thailand. Roi Et had played as Roi Et United since 2009, and the exclusion pushed it into the amateur ranks. It renamed itself Roi Et CF in 2018, sat out 2019 altogether, and returned in 2020 under new ownership and President Kasetsuk Sukhongthong as Roi Et PB United. The Thailand Amateur League North/Eastern Region title in 2023 was the first step back up.

The club has climbed before. Roi Et won the Regional League Division 2 North/Eastern Region three years running, in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and went up to the Thai Premier League Division 1 in 2013. They finished 15th in 2014 and dropped back to the third tier the same year. The present side plays in the region against clubs such as Sisaket City and Yasothon FC, and known as The White Squirrels, it wears white with dark blue.

Of the players from the first climb, Teerapong Deehamhae was there from 2011 to 2014 and made 105 appearances, so he saw both the promotion and the relegation that followed. Kennedy Ihenacho, a Nigerian defender, scored 10 goals in 47 appearances across 2011 and 2012. The most recent name to draw attention is Phakin Khamwilaisak, a Thai celebrity who joined in 2024 and stayed into 2025.
