Schoneiche

Jens Härtel played in Schöneiche from 2003 to 2006, later came back to manage the side, and went on to coach 1. FC Magdeburg and FC Hansa Rostock. Steffen Baumgart spent the 2008–09 season here, years before he took charge of 1. FC Köln and 1. FC Union Berlin.

Härtel's playing years overlapped with the club's best stretch. In 2004 Germania won the Brandenburg Cup, which sent them into the DFB-Pokal (the German Cup) for 2004–05. They drew TSV 1860 Munich and lost 1–2. Two years later they won the Verbandsliga Brandenburg, and in 2014 the Brandenburg-Liga. The cup final of 2009, the year Baumgart was there, ended 0–1 against SV Babelsberg 03.

The club's roots are older than the name suggests. A gymnastics club, MTV Germania Kleinschönbeck-Schöneiche, was founded in 1894. After the Second World War the sport carried on as SG Schöneiche and then passed through a string of works-team and factory names in the East German system: Lokomotive, Motor Friedrichshagen, Empor Köpenick, ZBE Landbau. Only after reunification, in 1990, did it return to Germania, the name it plays under today as SV Germania Schöneiche. The Landesliga Brandenburg-Nord title of 1999 came in the first decade of that revived club.

The ground, the Autoservice Müller ARENA, was the Jahn-Stadion until a sponsor's name replaced it. The nearest rival is FSV Union Fürstenwalde, and the two meet in the Oder-Spree-Derby. Die Germanen, in blue and white, play in the Brandenburg league system.
