Sloboda Uzice

In 1932 the police in Užice pressed a sports club until it gave up a single word. The Užice Workers' Sports Club "Sloboda" became plain "Sloboda". In December of that year its activities were banned outright for spreading communist ideas. Two communist activists, Miloš Marković and Josip Šiber, had started it in the spring of 1925, and its first official match came on 24 June 1926.

The club returned after the Second World War. In 1967 it held Red Star Belgrade to a 1–1 draw in the Yugoslav Cup, and its best runs in that competition reached the last eight or beyond. The 2010 merger with FK Sevojno Point left it playing as Sloboda Point Sevojno until October 2011, when the old name came back. The first of two fifth-place finishes in the Serbian SuperLiga, in 2011–12 and 2012–13, came in the season that name returned.

It won the Zapadno-moravska Zone League there in 2019–20, then the Serbian League West in 2021–22, which took it up to the Serbian First League. Nemanja Vidić passed through the youth side between 1994 and 1996 before moving on to Red Star. The other club in town, FK Jedinstvo Užice, supplies the rivalry. Their meeting is known as the Užice Derby, or the City Derby.

The ground, known locally as Begluk, was renamed the Radomir Antić Stadium in August 2021, while the promotion season was under way. The organised supporters, the Freedom Fighters (Borci za slobodu), call themselves Slobodaši, and they fill the black and red stands there.
