The oldest fixture on the calendar for Svitavy is the derby against SK Polička.
The club spent 1999/00 as runner-up in Divize D, the closest it has come to a higher tier. Between those two titles sits most of the club's competitive identity.
The colours have stayed blue and white throughout, and it is that blue that gave the youth sides their informal nickname, Modří, from the years when a Moravian youth title in 1950 was the club's proudest result.
It set out in 1935 as DSK Svitavy, and it is that starting point the current side, playing in the 4. česká fotbalová liga, still carries in its name.
