SWA Sharks

Providenciales has one club that has never dropped out of the top flight, and this season the Sharks are chasing what has become routine business: another Provo Premier League title to go with a run of five since 2001, the last four of them stacked between 2019 and this year's campaign. They took the domestic double in 2024–25, adding the Turks and Caicos FA Cup to the league crown, and go into the new season as the team everyone else in the competition is measured against.

The club started life in 1996 as an entry for a five-a-side tournament and only became a registered football club two years later, which makes it the oldest in the Turks and Caicos Islands — a distinction that matters more locally than the five-a-side origin itself, since no rival has been playing longer.

What set the Sharks apart from other island champions was leaving the island. In 2022 they became the first Turks and Caicos club to enter the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield, and in their opening campaign they beat Bonaire's Real Rincon 3–1 — the first win by a TCI club in official international competition. They have qualified for the Shield in every edition since, through 2026, a run that has made the club the de facto proving ground for the national side; Billy Forbes, the country's record scorer and most capped player, came through there.

The FA Cup wins of 2021, 2024 and 2025 have sharpened the local rivalry with Beaches FC and Provo United, the two other Providenciales sides the Sharks measure themselves against season to season. Home matches are played at the TCIFA National Academy, a 3,000-capacity ground that doubles as the closest thing the territory has to a national footballing address.
