Temp Barnaul

Temp Barnaul sit in the amateur ranks of Russian football, the third tier's Siberian zone, and in September a season means another run at the regional cups that have made them the area's standard-setter of late: the Siberia Cup, won in 2021, 2022 and 2025.

The club took the name and colours of a Barnaul side that had gone out of existence in 1968, and businessman Alexander Brodnikov put it back on the map on 20 February 2020. It did not take long to justify the revival: in its first season the club won the Altai Krai Amateur Football Federation championship outright, then followed with silver in the Russian Amateur Football League's Zone Siberia in 2021 and bronze in 2022.

The Sport Complex "Temp" holds 700, modest even by third-tier standards, but it was there that Temp built the run that still defines the club: in the 2022/2023 Russian Cup, they beat professional side FC Dynamo Barnaul 2-1 in the first round before Irtysh Omsk ended the run in the next. Two more Cup campaigns followed, in 2023/2024 and 2024/2025, each closing at the 1/256 finals stage.

That win over Dynamo Barnaul is the measure Temp get judged against now — an amateur club beating a professional one from the same city tends to leave a mark that outlasts the result, and the two sides' next meeting, whenever it comes, will carry that game with it.
