Dinamo Barnaul

Two spells in the top flight of Soviet lower-league football went to the club then still calling itself Temp: the zonal tournament of the USSR's Class B in 1963 and 1964, and again in the Second League in 1974, 1980 and 1981. Those wins carried the side as far up as it has been able to go — a first-place finish in the Second Division's Eastern zone in 2007 sent it into the First Division, where a 20th-place finish out of 22 clubs the following season sent it straight back down.

The team took its current identity only after two changes: Urozhay at its founding in Barnaul in 1957, renamed Temp in 1960, then absorbed into the Dynamo sports society in 1969. A run to the final of the Russian SFSR Cup followed in 1975, and the club has twice gone one round further than most in the national cup, reaching the last 32 in 2018 and a group stage in 2021.

Borya Brykin scored 168 goals in the shirt through the 1960s, a tally still standing as the club's best. Valeri Belozersky played 419 games across the 1970s, more than anyone else who has worn the colours. The academy has sent out players who went on to bigger careers, Alexei Smertin among them.

Financial trouble caught up with the club in 2013, when unpaid wages to players cost it its professional licence and pushed it into amateur football for a season. It returned in 2014 with fresh licensing from the Russian Football Union and has stayed in the professional pyramid since, playing out of the 16,000-capacity Dynamo stadium in white and blue. This season, in the Second League's Division B, group 4, the club sits sixth — a mid-table finish that leaves the promotion run of 2007 as, for now, the high point still not repeated.
