Union Klosterfelde

The club returned to its original name in 1990 after reunification. Before that, it had operated as BSG Aufbau Klosterfelde since 1949, following a dissolution in 1945 and a brief stint as SG Klosterfelde. The full official name remains SG Union 1919 Klosterfelde e.V.

The club was founded in September 1919, a date confirmed by the official website, Transfermarkt, and the Wandlitz municipality directory. The village district (Ortsteil) of Klosterfelde, part of Wandlitz in the Barnim district of Brandenburg, has hosted the team through those changes. They play their home matches at Sportplatz an der Mühlenstraße, which holds 1,000 seats rather than the 2,000 occasionally listed on Transfermarkt.

During the DDR era the club reached the first round of the FDGB-Pokal in 1949/50, losing 3:5 to SG Voran Friedrichshain. The club is now ranked 25th in the all-time Brandenburgliga table as of June 2026.

The club won the Brandenburg-Liga-Meisterschaft in 2024/25, securing promotion to the Oberliga Nordost (5th tier). This is the club’s first-ever Brandenburg state championship. Earlier honours include the Barnimliga-Meisterschaft in 2010/11 and the Barnim-Pokal in 2013/14, along with a runners-up finish in the Brandenburgliga in 2015/16.
