Nobody at Union Sportive Boujaâd needed telling what promotion meant in 2025: the club had gone since 1946 without reaching Botola Pro 2. That first promotion is the single fact the club's history turns on.

The name itself carries the town's football through several lives before settling. What began as Al Warda de Bejaâd became Boujaâd Athletic Club, then Nahdat el Bejaâdia, and only in 1982, when it merged with Fath Bejaâd, did Union Sportive de Boujaâd take the form it has kept since.

What promotion did not bring with it is a national title.
