United States Women

Since 2008 , the United States Women's U-17 national team has called the IMG Academy home. The facility provides a controlled environment where players are removed from their families and placed in a routine of training and study.

The team was established to coincide with the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. In the CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship, the United States has won six titles, a run that began in 2008 and continued through 2024 . In the World Cup itself, they secured victories in 2008 , 2010 , 2012 , and 2014 .

The system works by filtering talent upward. Several players have made that leap. Mallory Pugh and Lindsey Horan followed similar trajectories, their progress through the U-17 ranks serving as a blueprint for others.

These players come and go. The academy remains. The work continues in Bradenton, far from the headlines, where the next generation is being shaped for the tournaments that matter most.
