Ústí nad Labem II

Third-tier football in Bohemia is a strange place for a reserve side to spend a season, but that is where Ústí nad Labem II sat in 2024/2025, playing in the Česká fotbalová liga before dropping down to Divize B for 2025/2026. A B-team rarely stays in one place for long; the level of the fourth tier fits its role better — a proving ground rather than a destination.

The team carries no separate charter of its own. It exists as an extension of FK Viagem Ústí nad Labem, the club that traces its own line back to 1927 under the name SK Ústí nad Labem, rebuilt in 1945, renamed in 2023. The reserve side's own record only starts being kept from the 1957–58 season, and for decades afterward it moved through regional competition without much to show beyond two second-place finishes in the Severočeský krajský přebor, in 1987/88 and 1988/89. No title has followed since.

What the reserve team shares with the first eleven is the nickname: Armaturka, sometimes shortened to Arma, a name that reaches back to Sokol Armaturka and has stuck through every rebranding the club has gone through. Blue and white remain the colours on both sides of the split. The rivalry that matters most in Ústí belongs to the senior team — the derby against Teplice, with Baník Most also in the mix — but a B-side training and playing under the same roof lives in that shadow whether or not it takes the field itself.

Its real job is upstream of results. The academy has sent players through this level on their way up, and Martin Růžička is the name attached to that pipeline — a player the club's youth system produced and pointed toward the first team, which is, in the end, what a reserve side in Divize B is for.
