Vauxhall Motors are preparing for a fresh chapter under a new identity. From the 2026/27 season the club will be known as the Premier Jet Stadium following a naming rights deal. It is a change that reflects the local industry rather than a distant sponsor. The team plays at Rivacre Park, which has been their home since the 1986 season. The ground holds 3,300 spectators, with only 350 seated. It is a modest space for a side that has worked its way up through the lower tiers.

They were founded in 1963, shortly after the opening of the new car plant in Ellesmere Port. The nickname ‘The Motormen’ fits the origin. The colours are white shirts with a blue stripe, navy shorts and navy socks. The club has not always stayed in the same division. They won the North West Counties League Premier Division in 2022, their first time at the top of the regional pyramid. Before that they claimed Division One in 2000 and Division Two twice, in 1989 and 1996. The North West Counties League Cup came in 1991 and 1999. The Floodlit Trophy was lifted in 2000. These titles are not accumulated; they mark specific moments of improvement.

Players have moved on from here to bigger stages. Gregg Blundell, Danny Collins, Mark Duffy, Steve McNulty, Mark Roberts, Paul Taylor, Ben Tollitt, Lloyd Saxton, Cole Stockton and Paul Mullin all passed through the ranks. Some left before the recent success, others after. The club does not keep them locked in; it uses them as proof of its function as a feeder. The main rivals are City of Liverpool F.C. and Ellesmere Port Town F.C., though there is no formally named derby. Those matches are played with intensity but without ceremony.

The current structure relies on consistency rather than flash. The capacity remains fixed. The stadium name is changing. The club operates within that limit.
