The men who founded the club in Copenhagen SV on 3 March 1956 had been watching Hungary. The first Vigerslev kit borrowed from it — a green shirt worn over red shorts.
The red went in 2002, when Vigerslev Boldklub merged with F.C. Overskæringen and the shorts were changed to white. Green and white has been the home combination since; the red survives on the away shirt.
Home is Valby Idrætspark, over in Sydhavnen. Fremad Valby and Valby Boldklub af 1912 use the same ground, and both are also league opponents.
The football is amateur.
