The Azam Complex stands in the Chamazi ward, rising from the earth in 2010 when Azam FC relocated from their previous ground.
The site is defined first by its proximity to the city’s spiritual heart.
The pitch itself is artificial turf , a hybrid system supplied by Limonta Sport. The stands were reconfigured in 2024 to meet strict CAF standards, transforming the venue into an all-seater arena. The seats are a mix of orange, white and blue, arranged across five distinct sections.
It serves as a neutral venue for regional tournaments like the CECAFA Kagame Cup and has hosted Tanzania’s under-20 women against Nigeria. The facility is owned by the Bakhresa Group, and the club’s connection to the place is absolute.
