The Hong Kong All Stars 50-Over Series operates as a semi-professional domestic cricket tournament, bringing together three regional franchise teams: the New Territories Tigers, the Hong Kong Islanders, and the Kowloon Lions. Organised by Cricket Hong Kong in partnership with the EPIC Group, the competition distinguishes itself through a franchise-based structure rather than the traditional club-based model found in the Hong Kong Premier League One-Day Tournament.

Launched in the 2020/21 season, the series emerged following the success of the EPIC Group All Stars T20 Series. The format remains compact, consisting of a short triangular round-robin stage followed by a final. Recent editions have maintained this three-team configuration, ensuring a high-intensity schedule for the participating sides. The tournament serves as a showcase for Hong Kong’s premier cricket talent, blending drafted domestic stars with international players.

Success in the competition has shifted hands between the franchises. The Kowloon Lions claimed the inaugural title in 2020/21, defeating the Hong Kong Islanders. The Islanders responded by winning the 2021/22 series against the Lions. More recently, the New Territories Tigers secured victories in both the 2024 and 2024/25 editions, defeating the Hong Kong Islanders in the final of the latter. While the series is not the top-tier domestic league in terms of administrative hierarchy, it remains a high-profile competitive event.

Notable performers have included Jamie Atkinson of the Hong Kong Islanders and Nizakat Khan of the Kowloon Lions, who have recorded significant scores within the series. The competition operates independently of the Hong Kong Premier League football entity and the separate cricket league, focusing exclusively on its specific franchise-based ODI format.
