The Hong Kong All Stars T20 Series is a domestic Twenty20 cricket competition organized by Cricket Hong Kong. It operates as a secondary, exhibition-style tournament within the territory’s cricket structure. The competition utilises a franchise model where teams are assembled via a draft from a central pool of players, rather than relying on permanent registered clubs. Three drafted teams compete: the Hong Kong Islanders, the Kowloon Lions, and the New Territories Tigers. These squads draw from a mix of senior internationals, Premier League stars, and Under-19 talent.
The season format typically consists of a round-robin group stage followed by a single-match final. The entire event is often condensed into a two-to-three-day weekend. This structure creates a short, high-intensity environment designed to showcase drafted talent rather than traditional club rivalries. The tournament sits distinct from the official top-tier domestic structure, the Hong Kong Premier League (HKPL).
Competition results highlight shifting dominance among the franchises. The Kowloon Lions won the inaugural 2020/21 edition, defeating the Hong Kong Islanders. The New Territories Tigers claimed the titles in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 editions, beating the Kowloon Lions in both finals. The most recent completed edition in 2025/26 saw the Hong Kong Islanders take the victory.
There is no promotion or relegation between the All Stars teams and the traditional club leagues. The competition was first held in the 2020/21 season, evolving from earlier franchise-based initiatives like the 2016 Hong Kong T20 Blitz. It serves as a specific platform for player development and exhibition play within the local cricket landscape.
