The Hong Kong Women's Premier League (WPL) stands as the premier domestic competition for female cricketers in the territory. Organized by CricketHongKong, China, the tournament operates as an invitational league for elite players, sitting above developmental tiers such as the Women's T20 League. Its primary function extends beyond local rivalry; it serves as the critical selection pathway for the Hong Kong national team.

The competition launched in October 2020 under a franchise model that featured composite squads rather than traditional clubs. Notably, the competition lacks a formal promotion and relegation system, reflecting its closed nature for top-tier talent.

Winners have varied since inception, with Diasqua Little Sai Wan CC Women and Hong Kong Cricket Club Women securing titles in recent years. The tournament is currently sponsored by Gencor Pacific Limited, operating under the name Gencor Women's Premier League. This branding underscores the financial backing required to sustain the league’s elite status. The evolution from a franchise experiment to a club-focused league highlights a strategic decision to strengthen local infrastructure while maintaining high performance standards for international representation.
