Namibia Women's T20I Tri-Series 2024/25

The Namibia Women's T20I Tri-Series, alternatively recognised as the Capricorn Women's Tri-Series, operates as an intermittent international cricket tournament hosted by Cricket Namibia. Established in 2022, the fixture serves as a developmental platform for the Namibia women's national team, known as the Capricorn Eagles, to enhance their ICC rankings through competitive play against visiting Associate nations. Unlike domestic structures, this event functions as a bilateral or triangular international arrangement where all matches carry the status of Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is).

Positioned outside the domestic pyramid, the series acts primarily as a training tool rather than a pathway to major tournament qualification. Teams typically access premier events via dedicated regional qualifiers, such as the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier. The inaugural 2022 edition brought together Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Uganda, with Zimbabwe securing the title. In September 2024, the competition returned to the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek, featuring Namibia, the United Arab Emirates, and Zimbabwe. Following a round-robin group stage, the final was abandoned due to weather conditions, resulting in the United Arab Emirates being declared winners based on their superior position in the points table.

Planned future iterations indicate a shift in participants, with the 2026 edition scheduled to include South Africa alongside Namibia and Zimbabwe. This inclusion allows for benchmarking against higher-ranked Full Member nations. The tournament remains distinct from the domestic Namibia Women's T20 League, which showcases local clubs including Blue Waters, The Zebras, and Pro-Ed Academy. By engaging with diverse playing styles and international opposition, the series provides essential exposure for the national squad.
