The matches are granted T20I status by the International Cricket Council, meaning they count towards official rankings. The tournament serves as a developmental event for preparation rather than a qualification tournament.

The specific series involving the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, and Hong Kong was held in October 2023. The format consists of a round-robin league stage where each team plays the others twice, followed by a final between the top two teams. In the 2023 edition, the league stage comprised six matches. The United Arab Emirates won the series by defeating Nepal in the final by four wickets on October 27 at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The United Arab Emirates scored 167 for six while Nepal reached 162 for eight.

Historically, the brand has been used for several editions with varying participants. Nepal won the 2021 edition against the Netherlands and Malaysia and the 2021/22 edition against Papua New Guinea and Malaysia.
