The Pakistan Triangular T20 Series (A Women) operates as an irregular developmental fixture rather than a permanent annual institution. It does not feature a fixed founding date or a standing league table. Instead, the Pakistan Cricket Board organizes these tours to provide its second-tier squad, Pakistan Women A, with competitive exposure against other nations' A or Emerging teams.

The most documented instance took place in November 2023 in Lahore. This event involved Pakistan Women A, West Indies Women A, and Thailand Women Emerging. It marked the first multi-nation tournament in Pakistan involving women’s emerging teams. The competition followed a round-robin group stage where each team played two matches. The top two sides advanced to a single final match. Pakistan Women A claimed the title by defeating West Indies Women A by eight wickets at Gaddafi Stadium.

The matches in this series were not granted official T20I status by the International Cricket Council. ESPNcricinfo classifies them as "Other T20" rather than T20Is. This classification exists primarily because Thailand was represented by their "Emerging" team, which does not hold T20I status. The matches served a developmental rather than competitive ranking purpose.

While Pakistan A matches can sometimes carry T20I status in bilateral contexts, this specific triangular fixture did not. The series serves as a player development pathway, bridging the gap between domestic cricket and the senior national team. It provides high-quality competitive exposure to bench strength players against international opposition.
