Women's T20 Quadrangular Series (in Hong Kong) 2023/24

The Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series is a recurring invitational cricket tournament hosted by Cricket Hong Kong, China. It operates as a standalone developmental event rather than a permanent league within the national pyramid. The primary aim is to provide competitive Twenty20 International (T20I) matches for associate member nations.

The host nation, Hong Kong, remains a constant participant while other teams rotate based on availability and developmental needs. The format typically involves a round-robin group stage where each side plays three matches, followed by knockout playoffs for the top two and bottom two teams. Matches in this series count as official T20Is and contribute to ICC rankings, distinguishing them from mandatory qualification tournaments like the ACC Women’s T20 Asian Cup qualifiers.

The inaugural edition took place in November 2023 at the Hong Kong Cricket Club and Mission Road Ground. Hong Kong Women won the series, defeating Tanzania by five wickets in the final. Notable performances included a team total of 139/9 by Tanzania against Japan and bowling figures of four for ten by Asmina Karmacharya for Nepal.

A second edition occurred in December 2024 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. The participants shifted to Hong Kong, Thailand, Namibia, and China. Thailand Women secured the title by defeating Namibia by 30 runs in the final. Hong Kong finished third by beating China by 32 runs in the third-place playoff. The series serves as a key platform for emerging cricketing nations to gain experience in T20I conditions.

Hong Kong Women won the 2023 edition. Thailand Women won the 2024 edition.
