Women's T20 Quadrangular Series (in Malaysia) 2023/24

The Women's T20 Quadrangular Series is a developmental cricket tournament hosted by the Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) in Kuala Lumpur. It serves as an international fixture designed to provide national teams with Twenty20 International (T20I) experience ahead of ICC qualifiers. The event is distinct from domestic competitions such as the MCA Women’s T20 Inter-State Championship, which features state-level teams within Malaysia. The series operates as an invitational tournament and does not include a formal promotion or relegation system.

The first edition of the tournament took place in July 2017. The inaugural 2017 edition featured Malaysia Women, Thailand Women, Tanzania Women, and Sri Lanka Army Women; Sri Lanka Army Women won the tournament. The series was not held annually; the next recorded edition took place in August 2023. The 2023 series featured Malaysia Women (hosts), Nepal Women, Hong Kong Women, and Kuwait Women. The format consisted of a round-robin league stage where each team played every other team once, followed by a final between the top two teams. In 2023, Nepal Women finished top of the table and defeated Hong Kong Women in the final, which was abandoned due to rain and decided by the Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) method, with Nepal winning by 13 runs. The matches were played at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The tournament is distinct from domestic competitions like the MCA Women’s T20 Inter-State Championship, which features state-level teams within Malaysia. There is no evidence of a Women's T20 Quadrangular Series being held in Malaysia in 2022 or 2025; the 2023 event appears to be the most recent iteration of this specific series in the country. The competition does not have a formal promotion or relegation system as it is an invitational international fixture rather than a tiered league structure.
