Ángel Aguayo

Ángel Aguayo came through the youth system at Sol de América, working his way up through the club's U17 ranks before making his senior debut in September 2024 in the Copa Paraguay against Sportivo Limpeño. He soon followed that with a first appearance in the Primera División against Libertad. A right-footed defensive midfielder, he stayed a key figure for Sol de América even after the club's relegation to the División Intermedia in 2025.

His performances did not go unnoticed elsewhere. Early in 2025, Santos of Brazil opened negotiations to acquire 80% of his economic rights for around $400,000, though the move fell through over payment and documentation issues. He had already spent time on loan at Boston River in Uruguay in 2024. In July 2026, Aguayo was loaned to 2 de Mayo in the Paraguayan Primera División, taking the number 26 shirt for a spell running to the end of the year.

At international level, Aguayo has represented Paraguay through the youth categories. He made nine appearances and scored once for the Paraguay U-17 side at the 2023 South American U-17 Championship, then stepped up to the U-20 team, where he added nine caps and two goals at the 2025 South American U-20 Championship.
