Christian Neira

Christian Neira joined Unión Comercio's youth ranks at the age of eleven and stayed with the side through to his professional debut in the Peruvian Segunda División in November 2020, later helping the club win promotion to Liga 1 and establishing himself as a regular starter between 2021 and 2023, with 72 appearances, 10 goals and 7 assists in that spell.

In December 2023 Neira handed in a resignation letter seeking to leave Unión Comercio, only for the club to reject it and demand a $700,000 indemnity for his formation, threatening legal action against any side that signed him. The dispute went to the Peruvian Football Federation's Dispute Resolution Chamber, which ruled in the midfielder's favour in February 2024, declaring him a free agent on the grounds of constitutional protections against forced labour and FIFA regulations. He signed for Alianza Lima the following day as a free transfer.

He featured in the Copa Libertadores during 2024, then spent the 2025 season on loan at Cienciano, playing 29 matches with 2 goals and 4 assists, including Copa Sudamericana football. For the first half of the 2026 campaign he moved to Atlético Grau on loan, starting 15 of his 16 Torneo Apertura appearances and contributing a goal and two assists, before the loan ended in June and he returned to Alianza Lima for the Torneo Clausura.
