Ever Augusto Valencia Ruiz

Ever Valencia's name has attached itself to trophies he never won. Reports crediting him with Colombian league titles alongside Deportes Tolima, a Campeonato Gaúcho with Grêmio and a Copa de la Liga Profesional with Rosario Central all belong to a different player, Jaminton Campaz, who also passed through Tolima. Valencia never played for Grêmio or Rosario Central. His own honour on record is more modest: the Copa BetPlay with Independiente Medellín in 2019, the club where he made his senior debut in 2015.

That Medellín spell was really a series of loans. Valencia was farmed out to Cúcuta Deportivo, Atlético Bucaramanga, Deportivo Pereira and Envigado before the club let him go for good in 2023. América de Cali took him on next, and by late 2024 he had moved to Inter de Palmira, wearing the number 20 shirt there. That stop proved brief. In January 2025 he joined Deportes Tolima, initially on a free loan, with the club later buying a share of his rights to make the move permanent.

At Tolima he plays as a left winger, a role suited to his left foot, and has taken the number 8 shirt. Suggestions of a 2026 switch to Minnesota United have not held up, and Tolima remains his most recently confirmed club.
