Élisabeth Tsé joined Washington Spirit in January 2026, arriving from Le Havre AC on a three-year contract that carries a team option running through 2029. The move took the defender out of the French top flight and into the NWSL; across her time with Le Havre she made 47 appearances in the Première Ligue.

Left-footed, Tsé is comfortable both as a centre-back and at full-back, which gives Washington Spirit's staff room to use her in more than one role along the back line depending on need. Her route into the professional game ran through Canada's youth setup rather than a domestic academy alone: she was capped at under-17 level and again at under-20 level before she went on to establish herself in France with Le Havre.

The length of the deal she signed in Washington points to a club planning with her over more than a single season, with the option attached to the contract stretching that commitment out to 2029 rather than ending after three years. For a player who built her career in the Première Ligue before making the jump across the Atlantic, arriving with a multi-year contract already in place is itself a signal of the trust placed in her by her new club.
