About the player
Felipe Vieira's career has been shaped as much by transfer paperwork as by matches. Born in Cruzeiro do Sul, in Paraná, the left-back started out at Londrina, where he made his professional debut in 2016. Portuguese club Portimonense signed him in 2019, but rather than bring him to Europe straight away, they loaned him straight back to Londrina for the 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons. In 2023, with his rights split between two clubs, Portimonense sold 40% of his economic stake in the player to Londrina for €800,000 — a reminder of how much of his value had already been carved up before he ever left Brazil for good.
He joined Vitória in April 2023 and won the Série B title with the club that year. In July 2024 he went out on loan to Chapecoense, a spell that was later extended through to December 2025. He returned to Vitória afterwards, playing five matches in the 2026 Campeonato Baiano before his contract there was terminated in February 2026.
That same month he signed for Botafogo SP, with Vitória keeping a 30% stake in his economic rights — the latest instalment in a career where his ownership has moved between clubs almost as often as he has. He plays on the left side of defence, a role he has occupied since his earliest days at Londrina.
