About the player
Filipe Dahora broke into Série B senior football by an unusual route: registered with América Mineiro's under-20 squad after arriving on loan from Água Santa, he was nonetheless called up to the first team and made his professional debut in July 2026. He appeared against Londrina, Avaí, Goiás and Athletic-MG, and featuring earlier in the year against Criciúma in April. Against Botafogo-SP in August he scored, though it went down as an own goal.
Before the move to América Mineiro, Dahora had come through Água Santa's youth categories after starting out at Ituano, signing his first professional contract in January 2024 and making his senior debut for the club later that year. He was named among the club's best young players in 2023. A loan to Grêmio's under-20 side followed in June 2025, before he returned to Água Santa and then moved on again, this time to América Mineiro in February 2026 on a loan running until mid-2027.
One moment from his time in the youth ranks stands out: in January 2026, Dahora scored a stoppage-time goal in a Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior match that sent Água Santa through in the competition, and for Dahora it came just months before he was thrown into first-team action at his new club.
